About Us

 

Our Mission:
Sachem Youth Sports Girls Lacrosse is dedicated to teaching young girls the fundamentals of lacrosse, sportsmanship, and teamwork in a safe and positive environment. All of our directors, coaches, and team parents are volunteers who donate their valuable time and energy toward our girl’s success on and off the playing field. Girls of all abilities enrolled in kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome to participate in our program.

 

  Our History:
We are one of Suffolk County's oldest and largest girls youth lacrosse programs. Originally founded as South Shore Youth Girls Lacrosse, we changed our name in 2007 to reflect the community where our coaches and over 90% of our athletes live. We are part of Sachem Youth Sports, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are also affiliated with Suffolk County P.A.L. and are members of Suffolk County Girls Lacrosse (SCGL) Association.
